Description

Join local print block artist Karina Andrews in this Stormy Weather Arts Festival workshop!

 

In this hands-on workshop, participants will draw, carve, paint, and print their block print pieces. Guided step-by-step, you'll be immersed in the details of this art form, from carving your block to the technique of mixing ink and color-laying for the finished print. Each participant will carve their block and have 2-5 final pieces printed to take home at the end of the workshop.

 

Participants will be creating their one-of-a-kind print of Haystack Rock.

 

Karina Andrews is featured all around Cannon Beach and Clatsop County, including having artwork at the Stephanie Inn and Shearwater Studio & Gallery. Karina's studio is in Astoria, where she hand-carves, cuts, prints, and creates all her work.

The Cannon Beach Commercial Club, incorporated on February 19, 1945, formed the Cannon Beach Chamber on October 3, 1968. The Chamber serves local businesses and visitors year-round.

The mission of the Chamber is to promote the economic improvement of Cannon Beach businesses and its surrounding area as a year-round destination resort. This includes a desire to extend a friendly welcome to our visitors and to enhance the quality of life in the community.
