Description

Kathryn Ricketts - Choreography and performance | Sound and Media by Arne Eigenfeldt, Angela Ferraiolo, Scott Morgan and Ian Campbell with Youth Ballet of Saskatchewan Company dancers

An extraordinary feast of sound, visuals and movement addressing our relationship to land, borders, belonging and the front yard.

  • Land(ing) is a mash up of theater, dance, sound and film, creating potent collisions and intersections provoking important conversations around identity, land, place, migration and belonging.
  • Garden Plots is a new dance piece presented in conjunction with the Youth Ballet of Saskatchewan collecting stories of gardens and farming and then transferring these into into movement, becoming a larger story of shared human experiences with space and place and our efforts to attend to the fertility and longevity of our land.
  • Blomster is a dynamic and relational piece that intertwines sound, visuals, and movement in a spontaneously changing structure while exploring the timelessness of nature within a digital age.

Doors will open 30 mins before the showtime. Each performance is approximately 60 minutes, followed by a 30 minute discussion. Cash bar will be open.
