OHMPAA, the Oxford Hills Music and Performing Arts Association, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the presentation of quality entertainment on a regular basis featuring the talents of local residents. On January 1, 2009, OHMPAA became a program of Norway Maine Opera House Corporation which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Most of our performances take place in the historic Norway Grange, and we are most grateful to the Grange members for allowing us to share their lovely building.
Description
This 1960s French farce adapted for the English-speaking stage features self-styled Parisian lothario Bernard (really an American architect), who has Italian, German and American fiancées, each a beautiful airline hostess with frequent “layovers.” He keeps “one up, one down, and one pending” — until unexpected schedule changes bring all three to Paris, and Bernard’s apartment, at the same time. Directed by Lenore Grunko.
We are delighted to feature the talents of six actors, including one new to OHMPAA. Scott Parsons as Bernard; Brent Lake as Robert, Bernard's friend from Wisconsin; Sandra Fickett as Bernard's long-suffering housekeeper, Berthe; Kam Grover as his American fiancee, Gloria; Elise Christie as his Italian fiancee, Gabriella; and Jen Collins as his German fiancee, Gretchen.
We remind you that our theater is on the second floor of the Norway Grange. There is a ramp for access to the kitchen door (please let us know if you need to use it) and a stair chair for access to the second floor. Our house manager and producers will be happy to assist you.
The house will open 30 minutes before show time. Cool Treats for Charity will have refreshments available downstairs during intermission.
