2026 Boise Baroque Orchestra Summer Music Festival - A Musical Passport

We are delighted to invite you on an extraordinary journey.

This summer, the Boise Baroque Orchestra presents A Musical Passport,  three concerts that cross centuries and continents, bringing the color, drama, and beauty of the Baroque era to life in two beautiful Treasure Valley venues.

Bring a friend and join the Boise Baroque Orchestra on an extraordinary voyage to a masquerade experience, conducted by Interim Artistic Director Daniel Wiley.

Masks on, Music up. ¡Masquerade! plunges audiences into a glittering world of courtly spectacle. The program features selections from Rameau's Castor et Pollux, Bach's Oboe d'amore Concerto in A major with guest soloist Dwight Parry (Principal Oboe, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra) and a finale of Purcell's Abdelazer, performed alongside youth dancers from Ballet Idaho.

This special performance will be held indoors at Cathedral of the Rockies Boise, 717 N 11th St #4, Boise, ID 83702.

The Program

  • Symphonies from Castor et Pollux by Jean-Philippe Rameau

  • Oboe d'amore Concerto in A Major by Johann Sebastian Bach, featuring Dwight Parry Principal Oboe of the Cincinnati Symphony

  • Rondeau from Abdelazer Suite by Henry Purcell, presented with youth dancers from Ballet Idaho

Boise Baroque Orchestra is one of Idaho’s premier classical music ensembles, dedicated to bringing the timeless beauty of 17th and 18th-century music to life. Founded in 2003, Boise Baroque is made up of some of the region’s finest professional musicians who share a passion for historically inspired performances that feel vibrant, fresh, and full of heart.

Led by Artistic Director Robert Franz, the orchestra offers a rich and intimate concert experience, whether indoors at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Boise or under the stars at the breathtaking Château des Fleurs in Eagle.
