Description
Join Historian R. Scott Williams for a book reading and discussion centered on his newest work, Townmania: Marcus Winchester and the Making of Memphis, a story of Memphis's founding father. This book explores ambition, race, politics, and identity in early Tennessee, uncovering a chapter of Southern history that shaped the nation. The author will sign copies after the event.
Admission is free with registration. Starts at 1 pm in the Chapel at Elmwood Cemetery.
