Description
Supporting Rhinos
Since 1990, Bowling for Rhinos has been the signature fundraiser for the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK). This family-friendly conservation fundraiser is hosted by over 85 AAZK chapters throughout the US and Canada each year, and over $9 million has been raised since its inception in 1990. 100% of the proceeds from these events go to three conservation organizations in Africa and Asia (follow the links below for more info on each organization):
Rhino poaching has increased drastically over the last decade, and there is the possibility that these gentle giants will go extinct in our lifetime. Statistics show that one rhino is killed every 16 hours in Africa. But rhinos are not the only species that are being affected by poaching, habitat loss, and other threats. Elephants, lions, tigers, orangutans, and many other species are hanging on by a thread. Even though we are far away from Africa and Asia, we can still make a difference. By raising funds and awareness for the protection of rhinos we are also helping every species of plants and animals that share their habitats.
Event Highlights
Get your friends and family together and enjoy 3 hours of bowling, as well as pizza and soda. We will have raffles and silent auctions with some great prizes throughout the night.
