Brandonplatz returns for its 4th year on Saturday, September 26, 2026, bringing Oktoberfest traditions and a full-scale community celebration back to Downtown Brandon. Hosted by Brandon Main Street, this family-friendly event blends Bavarian flair with hometown fun for all ages, from check-in at 12:30PM straight through the Stein Hoisting Competition at 4:30PM.
Ticket holders enjoy a flight of 5 authentic German beer tastings (5oz each), brought in by Capital City Beverage and poured at 5 participating downtown restaurants: Paulaner Oktoberfest Marzen at Mudbugs, Flensburger Dunkel at The Cleaners, Schneider Original Weisse at Pancho's, Kostritzer Schwarzbier at The Gallows, and Warsteiner Pilsner at Burgers Blues Barbecue. Prefer a full pour? Each stop also has an Oktoberfest beer available for purchase.
The celebration also includes community biergarten areas (one presented by Performance Therapy), live music at two stages, classic German games like Hammerschlaggen, trivia, bingo, a wood-carving demonstration, and the always-popular Stein Hoisting Competition, presented by Capital City Beverage in partnership with Samuel Adams.
New this year, a professionally installed big screen sponsored by LocalBandsLive.com brings football to the heart of downtown all afternoon, so you can catch the game without missing the festival.
Beyond the tastings, guests are invited to stroll downtown with a full pour from their favorite restaurant, sample German-inspired appetizers, and soak in the festive atmosphere as Downtown Brandon transforms into a lively fall destination.
Brandonplatz is designed for the whole family. The free Kids Zone, sponsored by Community Bank, features inflatables, fall games, face painting, and a pumpkin painting station. Pumpkins, provided by Neel-Schaffer Engineering, are free to every child and painted on site, then set out around downtown for the season, adding a festive autumn touch and extending the celebration well beyond festival day.
Non-beer drinkers are welcome too. Guests may purchase a souvenir stein and enjoy complimentary tea and water refills, or use it as a to-go cup for beverage purchases from participating restaurants. The City of Brandon's go-cup ordinance will be activated for the event, so beverages can be enjoyed outdoors throughout downtown (state law still applies when entering establishments).
Brandonplatz has become one of Brandon's most anticipated fall traditions, celebrating community, local business, and a shared love of good food, good drink, and great company.
