The Film: The Man Who Came to Dinner (1941)
When Sheridan Whiteside (Monty Woolley) slips on the ice outside the Stanley family's house and injures his hip, his doctor insists he can't be moved for weeks. Suddenly the whole family is at his mercy as he recuperates on their couch, terrorizing their household, and threatening a lawsuit if anyone so much as suggests he leave. What follows is one of the sharpest, fastest-talking comedies of the era, packed with visiting oddballs, family chaos, and a lead character who never once lowers his voice. Come for the breakfast, stay for the insults.
Parkway Theater is located at 644 Broadway Ave, McKees Rocks, PA 15136
