Plot:
After suffering through a heartbreak, a young musician, Brennan, takes the advice of his therapist and tries an exercise called externalization— a process wherein one pretends that their mental disorders are real, external people. For some, their mental illness takes the shape of an abusive partner or a controlling parent. For Brennan, his OCD, Anxiety, and Depression manifest as a pop-punk band that torments him in his day-to-day life. Blurring the lines between a theatre show and a rock concert, Breaking Up With Me is a musical that explores mental health, self-improvement, and finding hope against all odds.
