Brickyard Road has their sights set on being the best Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute in the world. Now, after Twenty-Five years and over a dozen talented players contributing to the success the band has achieved, we’re glad to say our current lineup is the best we’ve ever had y’all! Our band leader Rob says, “This is what I’ve wanted all these years. We put on a genuine, family-friendly show for the fans of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Everyone knows we’re going to play Free Bird for our heroes and the fans at the end of the night, but it comes from the heart every time. Hey, these are our favorite songs!”.
Now with the addition of new frontman Mike, they are ready to deliver Skynyrd’s music to fans both old and new. Mike is no stranger to the group, having previously shared the stage with Brickyard Road while fronting other bands. Reflecting on the opportunity, he said:
“I jumped at the chance to perform with this band. I think the call lasted about 30 seconds before I was saying yes. Every time I shared the stage with them, I thought, if you close your eyes, it’s like listening to the record.”
The band has over 30-songs!…that’s three hours of classic Skynyrd tunes including all the hits, Sweet Home Alabama, What’s Your Name, Curtis Loew and more! The band also does a wide selection of deep cuts like, I Need You, Whiskey Rock-A-Roller and On The Hunt as well as a few more recent songs and a few hand-picked bonus tracks from other heroes in Southern Rock. Brickyard Road can be seen playing any number of venues, theaters, fairs, charity events, bike rallies, restaurants and bars in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware, but also play farther from home.
We end every show with Free Bird and, well, we wanna hear you scream it! Just like you’ve been yellin’ at bands all these years that can’t be expected to play it! Freeee Biiiiiiird!!! In all seriousness, we feel just like Ronnie Van Zant said about Lynyrd Skynyrd, we show up lookin’ to hit it out of the park.
Limited seating is available (with tables and chairs) and we've got all sorts of room on the dance floor for general admission.
