Spirituals and Beyond, the Black-American Prophetic Voice (and the Torah’s Resonance Within)
Bridges in Sound returns with an evening that celebrates spirituals and American music with a prophetic voice. This concert journeys through the deep tradition of African American spirituals and the American songs that call us toward justice, bringing forward themes of resilience, faith, and liberation that also live at the center of Jewish story and spirit.
With Nia Drummond on vocals, Brian Richburg on drums, and Dan Nadel on guitar and music direction, this evening offers powerful performances, rich sound, and music that crosses traditions and speaks directly to the heart.
Bridges in Sound is a yearlong concert series present with Congregation Rodeph Sholom, 92NY,NY Jewish Week and B'nai Jeshurun. The series is curated by Dan Nadel, Music Director of B'nai Jeshurun.
All events take place at Congregation Rodeph Sholom (7 West 83rd Street).
