Bring Your Own Tree Workshop
“Hello bonsai friends!
My name is David Easterbrook. I've been a bonsai artist for over 50 years. I started studying the art of bonsai in the 80s. I headed to Japan to be mastered by Isao Shinkai.
I then became the Curator of the collection of the Montreal Botanical Garden - a job I fulfilled for nearly 30 years. I am now retired but I stay busy taking care of my personal collection of over 700 specimens and teaching all over North America.
I am also the founder and former president of the Montreal Bonsai & Penjing Society. It's a great organization composed of 400 passionate members.
I pretty much dedicated my life to this wonderful art and now I'd like to share it with as many people as possible!” – David Easterbrook
