Description

The Tucson Chapter of Chicks n Chaps™ will host its 10th Annual Women's Rodeo Clinic, Bulls, Broncs, Barrels, and Bling on Sunday, February 19, 2023 in conjunction with the 98th Annual Fiesta de los Vaqueros Tucson Rodeo.

To date, our 501 (c)3 non-profit organization has raised over $79, 000 for LOCAL breast cancer support. These funds provide treatments, much needed supplies, and support through Arizona Oncology Foundation to patients and their loved ones in Southern Arizona suffering from this awful disease. ALL OF THE MONEY WE RAISE STAYS RIGHT HERE IN SOUTHERN ARIZONA AND GOES DIRECTLY TO PATIENTS!

To celebrate ten years of Chicks n Chaps at the Tucson Rodeo we are excited to move to a new larger venue!  This year's event will be held in the Coors Barn.  More room means more exciting clinics.  We will be looking at Bulls, Broncs and Barrels in depth.  Why does that saddle bronc ride look so spectacular and scary and then score so low?  Why is there a "clown" in the middle of the bull riding?  What makes a barrel horse different from the rest? Of course we will still have our "Many Shades of Pink" stories to share and inspire you..

How you attend is your call.   Only have the morning available?  Register for the clinic, you'll be done by 1:00 p.m.  Included with your registration is parking, brunch, rodeo clinics, a t-shirt, and a gift bag.

Busy in the morning but still want to be a part of this amazing event?  Buy a ticket to watch the rodeo in the Chick Pit! Skip our clinics and spend your afternoon cheering on the cowboys and cowgirls all while supporting Chicks n Chaps and Arizona Oncology Foundation.

Or do both!!  The choice is yours!!

Chicks n Chaps™ is for EVERYONE! So gals and guys, cowgirls, cowboys, and city folk alike, come join us as we look behind the chutes at the sport of rodeo and support a great cause.

Don't miss our one of a kind Bulls, Broncs, Barrels and Bling Rodeo Clinic!

7:30 a.m.  Registration opens

8:00 - 10:00 a.m.  You'll start your day in the Vaquero Club with a warm beverage and a delicious breakfast treat. You'll hear from professionals in rodeo who know the sport inside and out, and explore the history of rodeo in Tucson as it celebrates its 98th birthday.

Then it's on to a visit "Behind the Chutes" where you'll hear from our stock contractor as he shows you some of his amazing animal athletes.  Our rodeo veterinarian will tell you how he takes care of those athletes. Watching the broncs run on a crisp February morning is a treat not to be missed!

10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Next you'll move to the Coors Barn for an in depth look at three events: Bull and bronc riding and barrel racing.  Hear from our bullfighter/rodeo clown on his role in keeping cowboys safe, a rodeo judge on how he makes the call, and professional barrel racer on how she hones her sport.

Then you'll be treated to our Boot Barn Fashion Show with cancer survivors showing you how to glam it up western-style.
