Description
This is a 5 week course designed for anyone who would like to try their hand at this true American artform! Whether you just started performing or have yet to set foot onstage - This class is for you! Tap into the empowerment that can come from stripping away all inhibitions and taking control of your own autonomy.
Moderated by working burlesque professionals, Buttercup and Darby Fox, students will learn lessons on the history, classic burlesque moves, tassel twirling, fan dancing, tips on jumpstarting your burlesque career and more!
Class meets twice a week. The final week includes a final dress rehearsal and group performance in the Burlesque Hall of Fame's Tease: A Burlesque Revue at The Space.
Class is open to all! Class is taught on the motto that, "All bodies are burlesque bodies."

Class meets 9 times Mondays & Wednesdays Jan 19th - Feb 18th (no class Mon Feb 16) from 7:15pm-8:45pm at 4275 S. Arville Suite E. Pole Fitness Studio is providing a professional dance studio for this series of classes. For any questions please contact Buttercup at buttercup@burlesquehall.com
Student performance on Friday, Feb 20th/ Tech 5:45PM-6:30PM/ Showtime 8PM-9:30PM at The Space.
Cost:
Registration - $450 (plus processing fees) paid in full
Membership Discount - $405 (plus processing fees) paid in full, must be a current member
Alternate Payment Plan - $250 (plus processing fees) downpayment to secure spot with $30 installments for the first 8 classes, onsite at beginning of class. This payment option brings the total cost of class to $490. Students are responsible to pay for any missed classes.
NO DROPINS. Students must commit to full 5 week course. No refunds for missed classes. No refunds on cancellations after January 12th. All sales are final. No admittance for missed payments.This course is scheduled to be taught in-person. The Burlesque Hall of Fame reserves the right to teach this course virtually, at its discretion.
Participation in the final student performance is compulsory. Being able to take lessons learned from the class and apply them onstage, in front of a live audience, is the culmination of this course. This a unique opportunity. Dance & movement classes can be taken at many studios but the BHoF School of Striptease offers you a stage to actually apply these lessons in front of a live audience.
