Events Committee Description
We are the Events Committee, a collaborative team formed from two influential student associations, GUCS (Griffith University Commerce and Society) and GUAM (Griffith University Association of Marketing). As students dedicated to creating exceptional, high-quality events, our mission is simple: to craft memorable, impactful experiences for Griffith business students that foster connections, personal growth, and fun.
This year, we’re organising the Business Ball 2026, an exciting and exclusive event designed to bring together Griffith’s business students for an exquisite night of celebration. Set for July 24th, 2026, at The Islands (The Oceanview & Terrace) in Surfers Paradise, the event will be an evening where students can network, celebrate their achievements, and engage with their peers in an elegant and enjoyable setting.
The Business Ball 2026 will be a highlight of the year, providing students with a unique opportunity to connect with their classmates in a professional, yet fun, environment. It’s a chance for students to build long-lasting relationships, develop their professional network, and make memories with their peers.
Our committee is made up of passionate and driven individuals from both GUCS and GUAM, each working tirelessly to ensure the success of the event. This collaboration allows us to bring together a diverse skill set across various roles, including finance, logistics marketing, and sponsorship. Working together as a team, we aim to create an event that reflects the quality and professionalism that Griffith business students deserve.
Through the Business Ball 2026, we hope to foster a sense of community and provide a platform where students from different disciplines can come together, share experiences, and make connections that will last throughout their academic and professional careers.
By organising the Business Ball 2026, we also aim to create an impact beyond the event itself. The profits generated will go towards supporting future Events Committees, ensuring that upcoming Business Balls continue to provide the same opportunities for students to connect, celebrate, and grow.
We believe that the Business Ball 2026 will not only be an unforgettable night but also serve as a cornerstone for future events that will continue to unite Griffith’s business students for years to come.
