Share Celebrating its 31st season in downtown Reno, Brüka Theatre is recognized for innovative productions, exceptionally talented artists, and the acclaimed Theatre for Children touring series since its founding in 1992. Central to Brüka is the commitment to the re-investigation of contemporary and classic plays and developing new plays within Brüka’s Artistic Collective, a group that includes winners of the Nevada Arts Council and Sierra Arts Foundation artist grants and nine local best actor honors. Brüka was named “Best Theatre Company” by Reno News and Review for twenty-one years. Brüka, is a non-equity, small professional, not-for-profit theater company and a member of the National Theatre Communications Group. For your holiday titillations, an all original BUTTCRACKER 11-ROCKSTAR opens Friday, December 2, playing through December 22, 2022. In this ridiculous parody of “The Nutcracker” Clara becomes a groupie to a flurry of spectacular & wickedly weird rockstars. Brükaisms abound in this 11th rendition of what began as a Brüka parody of “The Nutcracker”, and has evolved into a regional cult classic. More of a Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride than a tighten your toe shoes to the music kind of experience. This year’s non profit partner is The Eddy House.
Doors open one-half hour prior to the showtime. Any tickets remaining unclaimed as of showtime will be released to the stand-by line.
