BYO Hand Drumming Workshop with Richie Barshay

TICKETS: $30 GA / $20 MEMBERS
Bring your own hand drum to this global rhythm workshop open to all levels. If you’ve got a djembe, conga, pandeiro, or any hand percussion instrument that you want to practice in a group setting - this one is for you. Technique, hand coordination, rhythm fundamentals, and groove ideas will all be addressed in a fun and supportive environment. Limited hand drums available to borrow if you need one - please contact the Parlor Room in advance. Led by Northampton and NYC based percussionist Richie Barshay (Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Esperanza Spalding, The Klezmatics).
The Parlor Room Nonprofit and School of Music's mission is to: Promote a vibrant musical community in downtown Northampton, MA for musicians of all abilities and at all stages of their career. The Parlor Room will bring nationally touring and local acts to our listening room to provide an exceptional experience for the artist and audience and guide musicians and anyone interested in a career in the music industry through our school of music.
