About Sherri Carroll : Sherri Lynn Carroll is Lively Vortex, the artist. She's been a lifelong creative, professionally translating instinct into color for over four decades. Since her introduction to watercolor and acrylics in college, her work has since spiraled outward. Inspiration comes from nature, science, music and art. She paints intuitively, free from esoteric meanings. Her art is expressed by following color and rhythm, feeling and flow, moments and moods. The work is rooted in simple joys. Lively is a life artist, radically creating for the fun of it.
About Elinor Figueiredo: Elinor’s art is a collective expression of life's emotions. Elinor has drawn inspiration from the west coast where she was born and resides. Often drawing from cool tones associated with the ocean and forest. She engages the viewers to find comfort in the turmoil of the human experience. Her art exhibits the pain and joy of mystery. Using landscape portraits as well as human portraits she portrayed with somber color schemes and expressions, that are meant to settle in with comfortability. The viewer is left to question why and how humanity expresses themselves the way they do.
About Mona McGinnis: Hale Estes is the artistic identity of Mona McGinnis, a Hawaii-based artist who works with bright color palettes and deeply layered backgrounds. Her work has evolved through an ongoing exploration of emotion, rest, and inner landscapes shaped by time and place. Her work invite viewers into spaces where feeling, memory, and downtime peacefully intersect.
About Ernest Shih: Ernest is the Chief Cultivator and Impresario at Cafe Kopi, where creativity is cherished and community and friendships appreciated. He has in turns been a scientist, environmental consultant, photographer, businessman, artist, designer, and muralist. For this exhibition he presents some photography and an assemblage.
