Join us for a special screening of Call Me Dancer, an inspiring documentary about talent, perseverance, mentorship, and the transformative power of dance.
The film follows Yehuda Maor, a renowned Israeli ballet master and former dancer with Israel’s Bat Dor Dance Company, whose career has included training some of the world’s most celebrated dancers. While teaching at an inner-city dance school in Mumbai, Yehuda meets Manish Chauhan, a gifted hip-hop street dancer with an unexpected dream of becoming a professional ballet dancer. Their unlikely partnership becomes a remarkable journey of determination, discovery, and friendship.
This screening is especially meaningful to the Kaplen JCC community, as Yehuda is an active member of our community.
