Our Service Area is a subset of the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes Council, located in De Pere, Wisconsin. We have almost 400 girls registered as Girl Scouts and over 160 registered Adult volunteers as of 2/2024. Our Service Area organizes many events throughout the year including a 5-day long day camp in August.

Calling all bug hunters!
Come spend the morning connecting with nature by taking a bug walk through the forest and gardens. Dig deep into the world of bugs by exploring the grounds at Forest to Brook and finding out “What’s under that (rock, log, stump, leaf or dirt pile)?" Then re-create a bug you saw using nature items or reclaimed materials. Wrap up the morning with a delicious plant based snack that’ll make your eyes bug out.
This event is open to De Pere/Oneida Girl Scouts of all ages. Brownies will earn the Bug Badge. All other scouts will receive a fun patch. Badge and fun patches are included in the registration price.
Date/Time: May 16, 2026 (Saturday), 9 am - 12 pm
Price: $17.00 per Scout (plus processing fee, approx. $1.90 per Scout)
Clothing: Please dress appropriately for the outdoors in May, tromping around in a non-urban setting.
Picture: The attached picture of the driveway marker is the location of the venue. It is a hidden driveway between 3387 & 3445 Brehmer Road, Abrams.
If attending as a troop, make sure you follow Safety-Wise rules for the correct ratio of girls to adults. If attending as an individual, parent/guardian must remain on site for the duration unless prior accomodations are made.
