We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Wilson Music Academy's Music Camp: Camp Jam! An exciting and enriching experience for kids ages 5 to 12. Our camp aims to introduce young minds to the wonderful world of music while fostering creativity, teamwork, and a love for the arts.

Time: 9:00 AM to 1:15 PM
Location: Calvary Church Gymnasium, Poteau, OK
Ages: 5 to 12 years old
NOTE: This is a day camp. Campers to be dropped off at 9:00am and picked up at 1:15pm, daily.
At Camp Jam, participants will embark on a journey through various aspects of music, including instrumental exploration and music theory. Through engaging activities and interactive sessions, campers will have the opportunity to experience piano, guitar (strings), vocal, and drums, guided by experienced instructors passionate about music education.
This is an incredible opportunity for kids to dive into the world of music! Whether they have no experience in music, are absolute beginners, or are seasoned musicians, this camp welcomes everyone. For those with no prior musical experience, it's a chance to jump in, learn, and uncover hidden talents they never knew existed. Meanwhile, for those already familiar with music, whether through lessons or school programs, the camp offers a platform to further sharpen their skills, learn new skills, and deepen their passion for music.
Highlights of the Music Camp:
1. Instrumental Exploration: Campers will have hands-on experience with a variety of musical instruments, allowing them to discover their musical interests and talents.
2. Music Group Classes: Learn the fundamentals of music in a fun and accessible way, laying the foundation for a lifelong appreciation of music.
3. Musical Crafts: Get creative with themed musical crafts that campers can take home as mementos of their time at the camp.
4. Musical Games: Enjoy a range of entertaining games and activities that reinforce musical concepts and teamwork.
5. Green Room Time: A time for the ”bands” to take a break and have a snack (snacks will be provided, if any camper has a specific severe allergy, please list below)!
In addition to our core activities, we have planned themed days to add an extra layer of excitement to the camp experience. These themes, along with what "band" each camper will be placed in, will be announced in the email sent out to all registered campers after the camp registration deadline.
Each camper will be placed in a "band" and led by a dedicated group leader, providing personalized attention and guidance throughout the camp.
The Campers will become part of a “band”, not in the traditional sense of performing groups, but about forming a close-knit team with fellow musicians. Being in a "band" means working together, getting creative, and forming friendships. Beyond the music, our campers will take home more than just new skills. They leave with cherished memories, newfound confidence, and lasting friendships created through the shared experience of making music together.
We believe that music has the power to inspire, educate, and bring people together. We are excited to share this journey with your child at Wilson Music Academy's Music Camp.
