Share Nestled in the heart of Connecticut's largest historic district, the Webb Deane Stevens Museum's three historic houses tell important stories of national and statewide significance.

Join us for a stroll through our three historic houses, all festively decorated for the holiday season and lit by candlelight. Guides will greet guests in each house to offer a brief history of the holiday décor and to answer questions. Enjoy light refreshments and songs of the season performed by Wethersfield High School’s Choralaires.
The Silas Deane House parlor, study, kitchen, and dining room will be decorated for the observance of New Year’s Day during the 18th century, when women of the household held their annual receptions. Customs and décor associated with a New England Christmas of the 1840s will be present in the Isaac Stevens House’s foyer, dining parlor, parlor, kitchen, and children’s bedroom and toy room. Holiday décor and celebrations as they have evolved into the 20th century will be highlighted in the foyer, Yorktown Parlor, and best parlor of the Joseph Webb House.
