Blue Grass Drive-In Theater - 3
Blue Grass, Iowa 52726Two of the best Halloween anthologies ever made take over the CARLOAD screen at the Blue Grass Drive-In with our double feature: Creepshow and Trick 'r Treat.
Start the night with Creepshow, the 1982 team-up of director George A. Romero and writer Stephen King. Five comic-book horror tales, from a vengeful father rising from the grave on Father's Day to a meteorite that turns a farmer (played by King himself) into a walking weed patch, with Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Leslie Nielsen, and Ted Danson along for the ride.
Then stay for Trick 'r Treat, Michael Dougherty's cult favorite. Four stories cross paths on Halloween night in a small Ohio town: a school principal with a dark secret, a trip to the site of a legendary school bus crash, a shy young woman's first Halloween party, and a cranky old man who hates the holiday, while Sam, the pint-sized trick-or-treater in the burlap mask, makes sure everyone follows the rules. Anna Paquin, Brian Cox, and Dylan Baker star.
One price covers your whole carload. We're open Friday - Saturday - Sunday. The ticket booth opens at 6 PM. Movies begin at dusk.
