Description
Hip hop show with your favorite beatboxing MN artist
Carnage The Executioner
Whether he’s rapping, producing, performing, teaching kids to beatbox or working his former job as a youth counselor, it’s clear the man most commonly known as Carnage The Executioner was born to do two things: instruct and entertain. Musicians, dancers, DJ’s, poets and television hosts who have worked with Carnage recognize his dedication to his craft and would confirm that he doesn’t disappoint. Ask emcees about Carnage’s skill level and you’ll find out that the phrase, “he’s your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper,” actually fits.
A music fan since childhood, Carnage has filled his memory bank with thousands of references from all genres to draw from. Carnage’s start as a human beat boxer has taken on a life of its own. He now uses technology like looping and effects pedals commonly used by guitarists. He enhances the experience of a live Hip-Hop show by providing his audiences the opportunity to hear original Carnage material, as well as unique improvisations and spot-on recreations of popular songs. Carnage uses this same musical knowledge and technology to create custom, studio human beat box tracks. His audio vision via mouth music can be heard on albums by Hip-Hop heavyweights Aesop Rock and R.A. The Rugged Man.
C-Silence
C-Silence set his sights on originality from the word go. "I want to make original music that is unparalleled in any specific genre." Rather than composing music that runs along the standard current, C-Silence instead turned his formidable musical skills to writing music that crosses perpendicular to the streams of music we all know and love. He presents elements we recognize as familiar but presents them in startling new ways. His music is rooted in hip-hop but the experimentalism, powerful vocal delivery and uncanny improvisational skills elevate his music above the same old rap we can hear on the radio.
"Music makes me feel both intrigued and content." C-Silence finds deep fascination in music and offers us the same sense of fascination as we hear his compositions unfold in our ears. We also share in the contentment because C-Silence's masterful songs leave the listener sated, engorged on a feast of amazing sounds.
Willie Winklesky, using the moniker Willie Diction, has plied a tight brand of freestyling hip-hop with just about everybody in the Twin Ports scene over the past 10 years. Nonfic, Dubz, C. Silence and Strictly Hammers have all shared a mic with this West End wordsmith. Why? Because Willie Diction is creative, spontaneous and complements a beat instead of hijacking it. The rapper takes chances and pushes it out there, but holds it down like Eminem’s long lost sibling.
