Cat & Mouse Plants Repotting Event
Get Professional Advice & High Quality Soil-less Potting Mix
Nobody likes to repot. It can be overwhelming, scary, and overall, cumbersome. With this event, we are hoping to help others take the first step and repot those plants they've waited a bit too long to touch. Whether you are a novice or expert, this event is a BLAST. Cat & Mouse will be guiding you on repotting, answering questions you might have along the way, and providing you all the materials needed to repot.
For this event, we will be providing our own high quality soil mix using a coconut coir base - NOT DIRT! Dirt creates the ideal environment for fungus gnats and root rot, often causing a lot of the issues you might be having with care. By using a soil-less potting mix, your plants will have better aeration AND more consistent watering. Coconut coir is the outside of a coconut. It soaks up water evenly and retains water better than just dirt. Our mix includes coco chips and perlite for aeration, mycorrhizal inoculant to prevent shock, organic worm castings for fertilizer, and biochar to promote healthy microbial growth. We will offer this as a base mix, with various soil amendments for specialty plants that require different substrates.
This event is per person, not per plant. Bring as many plants as you'd like to repot. Be mindful of your own limits and don't be afraid to start small! We ask that you inspect your plants for pests before bringing them into the store. We will also inspect plants before they enter the repotting area. This is to ensure everyone's collection remains safe. If we do find pests on any of your plants, we will refund your ticket purchase or schedule a time to work with you one-on-one outside the event to repot.
