Description

Did you know that there is a “Poet’s Corner” in Cave Hill Cemetery? Join us as we explore the fashioners of prose that are resting there and many others. From Madison Cawein, known as the “Keats of Kentucky”, to Alice & Cale Rice, to Mary Eudy, Cave Hill Cemetery is full of writers that gained national recognition. Enjoy a visit to Poet’s Corner and beyond to discover this element of our Louisville story with docent, David Luken.

The program will start at the Administration Office at 10 a.m. This is a walking tour, and appropriate shoes are advised due to the possibility of adverse terrain. Guests are also encouraged to bring a bottle of water.

David Luken graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bellarmine University with a double major in English and History. He studied 20th Century English Literature, Theatre and Culture at the University of London as an English Speaking Union Scholar. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, and retired Vice President and Senior Consultant with ProBank Austin, teaching Banking Compliance law across the United States for 28 years.
