Message from our President
Welcome to the Cedar Rapids Community Orchestra Spring 2025 performance! It is a privilege to share this evening of music with you, and we are grateful for your support.
This has been an exciting season for our orchestra. We have grown artistically and as a community, with our musicians bringing an incredible level of dedication and passion to every rehearsal and performance. Our audience continues to grow, and we are thrilled to see so many returning and new faces joining us for these concerts. Thanks to your support, we have been able to expand our programs which include Tyros and our outreach programs who play for local communities, to continue our mission of bringing exceptional music. We collaborate with CR Choral in concert for Veterans day and have been gifted with supporting local talents in our orchestra. We have now 80 plus members in our orchestra and are working towards financial stability and growth without the need to rely on grants.
None of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of not only the talented musicians, our conductor but also the amazing individuals who have dedicated their time and talents to the board. A special thank you to our volunteers, donors, and supporters—your generosity sustains us and allows us to thrive.
We hope you enjoy this evening’s concert and leave feeling inspired. Thank you for being part of our journey.
Megan Conrad
President, CRCO
