Description

Historic Rock Ford welcomes the band Seasons for an evening of Celtic and Folk Music. This award-winning band from the Harrisburg area is comprised of the Lee siblings Mary-Kate Spring, Peter Winter, Mary-Teresa Summer, Mary-Grace Autumn, and Mary-Clare Chun Lee. The Lee siblings seek to not only pay homage to the rich tradition of Celtic and American folk music that they grew up in, but also to treat it as a living, breathing entity. The result is a constantly growing collection of original songs and tunes that are all at once both fresh and familiar. While the instrumentation of the band remains centered around the Celtic harp and hammered dulcimer, over the years the band has added violin, mandolin, guitar, bodhran, penny whistle and piano.

About this performance: The performance will be held on the piazza of the Hand Mansion with seating on the lawn. The performance area will open 45 minutes prior to the concert time. Seating is on a first-come basis. Guests should bring their own chairs (blankets are not recommended so that everyone may have a good view of of the piazza). In the event of rain, this event will be held under the tent by the Rock Ford Barn. Concessions will be available for purchase with proceeds benefitting Historic Rock Ford.
