Description
The Forsyth-Warren Tavern Living History Farm and Museum will be hosting a gravestone cleaning workshop at the Forsyth-Warren Cemetery on June 4, 2022 at 12 p.m. led by Kurt Riegel, a historic gravestone conservator. Kurt comes from Sidney, New York where he operates Riegel Restoration; specializing in historic window sash restoration, historic gravestone conservation and cleaning, historic preservation and architectural history consulting. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn the dos and don't of maintaining headstones from a genuine expert in the field.
This workshop is open to anyone in the community who is interested in attending. We ask for a $20 donation towards the Forsyth-Warren Cemetery Restoration Fund. Attendees are asked to bring a clean bucket and a soft plastic bristle brush.
