Clay & Cultured Cheese: Handbuilding & Vegan Tasting Workshop

Discover the art of ceramic handbuilding in this interactive studio session. Designed for all skill levels, this workshop guides you through crafting your own custom ceramic cheese board using foundational slab and texturing techniques.

To make the experience even more delicious, we are partnering with Peaceful Rebel to serve a curated tasting of their handcrafted, plant based artisanal cheeses throughout the event. They will be here all

What to Expect

  • Handbuilding techniques: Learn how to shape custom borders, add handles or hanging holes, and apply unique surface textures to your clay board.

  • Artisanal Tasting: Enjoy a complimentary selection of Peaceful Rebel’s rich, small batch vegan cheeses and pairings while you work.

  • Glazing & Firing Included: Once your piece is built, choose your studio glaze. Our team will dry, bisque fire, glaze, and final fire your piece.

  • Pick-Up: Your food safe, durable ceramic board will be ready for studio collection within a few weeks after the event.

  • Skill Level: No prior pottery experience required

  • What's Provided: Clay, use of studio tools, glazes, firing services, and all food offerings

Spaces are limited. This is a beginner friendly workshop! No experience needed, just come ready to play with clay. You will be sculpting using your hands and a variety of tools to form the clay, NOT a pottery wheel. 

 

Adults only. This is a 21 and up event due to alcohol consumption. Community Clay is a working studio. Children may not participate or observe. Read our FAQs.

We offer 6 Week Group Classes on the wheel and handbuilding, One-time Private Wheel Lessons for 1 or 2 (great for date nights or to improve skills), One-time Private Group Lessons for groups of 3 or more, and Try It Nights for a low commitment evening on the wheel.
