Ceramic Cheshire Cat Key Keeper

DATE CHANGE to October 2, 2-5 pm

Here’s a great clay project that will also help you keep a spare set of house keys hidden right in plain sight in your garden! Becky Zee is excited to show attendees how to turn a simple lump of clay into the Cheshire Cat, one of the many colorful characters that Alice encounters in her adventures in Wonderland.

In this class, you will take a lump of clay and turn it into a pinch pot. Then you will add the Cat’s ears, eyes, nose, and swishy tail. When you are done fine-tuning his pieces and parts, you’ll be able to finish him up with colorful clay paints, all in one sitting!

All skill levels are welcome. Kids are welcome too! (Must be at least 10 years old and accompanied by a grown-up helper.) Finished Key Keepers will be given a waterproof clear glaze and fired off-site for pick-up at MBG two weeks after the class. The class fee includes all supplies and tools needed to bring the Cheshire Cat to life. All YOU need to bring is your imagination (and please, wear your play clothes)! $55 Members/$67 Non-Members.

Advance registration is required no later than September 27.
