Description

Ceramic Mr. Rabbit Key Hider

August 21, 2-5 pm

Becky Zee is excited to show you how to turn a simple slab of clay into Mr. Rabbit, one of the first Wonderland friends that Alice encounters in her adventure. This is a project that is both easy to make and will also help you keep a spare set of house keys hidden right in plain sight in your garden!

In this class, you will take a pre-formed clay slab and learn how to turn it into the base for Mr. Rabbit. Then you will learn how to add this funny bunny’s ears, eyes, nose, clothes, and that little timepiece that stresses him out so much. When you are done fine-tuning his pieces and parts, you’ll be able to finish him up with colorful clay paints, all in one sitting!

All skill levels are welcome. Kids are welcome too! (Must be at least 10 years old and accompanied by a grown-up helper.) Finished Key Keepers will be given a waterproof clear glaze and fired off-site for pick-up at MBG two weeks after the class. The class fee includes all supplies and tools needed to bring Mr. Rabbit to life. All YOU need to bring is your imagination (and please, wear your play clothes)! $55 Members/$67 Non-Members. Advance registration is required no later than August 16.
