The Cape Fear Bonsai Society, established in 2001, is a group that meets monthly to study and practice the art of Bonsai.
The club has an active program of training through workshops, guest speakers, and a sharing of Bonsai expertise. Membership is open to both the novice and the more experienced practitioner of Bonsai.
Description
This is the announcement for the March meeting of Cape Fear Bonsai Society. We will begin at 12:00 on March 16, 2025 at OLLI. Snacks and beverages will be provided. This will be a demonstration of a tried and true method of root over rock planting. Ed Lauer will discuss and demonstrate his method of placing trident maple seedlings against a rock, that will develop reliably into a finished bonsai. After his demonstration, we will have a raffle drawing for the composition. Club members are welcome to stay as silent observers to the workshop.
