Description

Chainsaws are great tools, at least when sharpened and running properly. When not, they are quite aggravating to use.

This discussion and demonstration-based class will cover basic daily maintenance and chain sharpening to keep your chainsaw work-ready. Topics include fuel, filters, spark plugs, guide bars, chains, sprockets, and more. The information will apply to most current chainsaws of any brand, including gas, corded, and battery models.

Please note: this class will not cover chainsaw use or safety.

Meet the instructor: Philip Jacobs has spent 25 years working with volunteer disaster response groups. As a self-described "tool geek," he has spent a lot of time learning how to properly maintain chainsaws and, as an instructor, how to present that to various groups.
