14624 Solomons Island Road SouthWe are excited to welcome Chef John Shields back to NTTC’s kitchen. Otherwise known as the Culinary Ambassador of the Chesapeake Bay, he is the chef-owner of the award-winning restaurant, Gertrude's Chesapeake Kitchen at the Baltimore Museum of Art, as well as a television personality and the host of Chesapeake Farm & Bay to Table and the driving force behind Our Common Table.
In this class, Chef John will showcase his love of all things Chesapeake Bay while highlighting his favorite array of local produce and seasonally harvested seafood. In addition, historian and author Mae Harris of Old Line Plate will discuss the history behind many of our iconic Maryland dishes. With a focus on oysters, this class is not to be missed!
