The Chillicothe Professional Firefighter’s Association (CPFA), founded in 1978 by City of Chillicothe, Ohio firefighters, is a 501(c)(4) organization whose simplified mission is to provide support to our firefighters and to give back to our local community. More specifically, the CPFA helps to provide basic living essentials for our firefighters as they work to protect the city and its citizens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The CPFA also provides support for our members in times of celebration as well as in times of crisis. We host free community events throughout the year to provide resources, entertainment and safety related education to our community. The CPFA also hosts charitable events throughout the year to raise money for local charities, and we donate to other charitable events within our community through financial contribution or volunteering.
Phoenix Fire Company #2 Museum
The Phoenix Museum was established in 1975 by a group of firefighters and people interested in firefighting. Its purpose is to collect, restore, and maintain antique fire apparatus and memorabilia. The Phoenix is housed in the old CFD Firehouse #1 and the museum is open to the public for guided tours. Money raised for the Phoenix will be used to upgrade their HVAC system as well as any other needed upgrades.
