Our next Happening @The House is another wine tasting at the most intimate venue in Sandbach.

This time our wine expert - or "wine Geek" as he called himself - will be presenting his take on 5 wines that you should consider for your Christmas Dinner table.

Christmas Wine Crackers is, once again, brought to you In association with Nick Reed of NR Wines. Nick is a Sandbach-based wine merchant and supplier to many restaurants, pubs and hotels in the North West. You will be offered the chance to sample 6 different, quality wines with 'live' tasting notes and commentary provided by Nick.

The specialist wines tasted this evening will be 1 Sparkling, 2 White and 2 Red.. 

Complimentary sharing platters will be provided by The House to enhance your enjoyment of the wines. 

Beer, wine and spirits will be available to purchase after the tasting is finished and you are free to stay with us and enjoy our cosy and sociable environment.  You will also have the opportunity to order bottles of the wines sampled in the evening.

The House is an intimate venue and seating is limited. Some House Guests will have to stand for the tasting. But, to be honest, this is our preferred way of embracing the intimacy of The House.  Consequently, seat reservations are not possible.

Blackwater & Grubb is a family run business based in Sandbach, Cheshire.

When people kept telling us there were places that needed a Grab & Go service -ideally with great tasting coffee. We responded with a van in Sandbach Park. and quickly became referred to as 'The Heart of The Park'. One year later we were getting told Sandbach was missing an artisan coffee shop, so we created The House in the heart of town. 

The only artisan coffee outlets in Sandbach serving multi award-winning, specialist coffee 10 days per week.

We adopted Sandbach Park as our home base and we were inspired by our customers who tell us what a great addition we've been to the park. We are committed to offering high quality, great value artisan coffees, teas and homemade cakes and bakes as well as some hot savouries and snacks.

We endeavour to source food and drink locally to minimise "food mileage" and we exclusively use fully compostable, bio-degradeable cups, lids and packaging on our van and in our shop.

We appreciate local support for local businesses like ours and we offer a loyalty card giving customers the opportunity to earn a free drink as a thank you. Collect your card when you visit and get it stamped for every hot drink bought from us. 

Whether you’ve got time to stick around or you’re just coming to grab an on-the-go bite to eat, we've got you covered.

Stop by when you are in the area! Both locations are just a couple of minutes off J17/M6 so we are a great alternative to motorway services for a recovery break or meeting with friends.
