Description

Developing processes for assessing demolition and code enforcement can allow cities to plan for neighborhood preservation, infill, and adaptive reuse, as well as deconstruction. Artificial Intelligence methods can help identifying properties with rehabilitation needs that could be great candidates for circularity projects. Join us this month to hear how these processes contribute a circular city with a dive into the research from Esteban López Ochoa, Ph.D. Assistant Professor, Urban and Regional Planning Program Lead from the School of Architecture and Planning at UTSA. You can read the full study here: Housing Perceptions and Code Enforcement: An Assessment of Demolition Orders Using Street View Imagery and Machine Intelligence. Space is limited - advance registration required.

Circular Chats is a monthly thought leadership series hosted by Circular San Antonio that features local champions of the circular economy. Designed to shine the spotlight on critical work, events typically feature a presentation on a specific circular economy topic followed by an engaging discussion.
