All vendors must provide proof of licensing (digital or physical) for their merchandise.
Products which can be sold include:
• Any vegetable Georgia grown from seed, sets, seedlings or other propagation method
• Any fruit, nuts, and berries Georgia grown from trees, bushes, or vines on the seller’s property
• Any plant Georgia grown from seed, seedling, transplants, cutting or other propagation method, but must have a live plant license
• Honey produced in Georgia
• Cut or dried flowers
• Crafts may be sold, provided the crafts are homemade, and fit the general theme of the Farmers Market.
• Baked Goods (Must have Cottage Kitchen License)
• Jams, Jellies (Must have Cottage Kitchen License)
Other products that can be sold, but are governed by specific Federal and State laws:
• Eggs (Governed by Georgia egg law) Must have Candler’s License
• Meat products (Governed by Georgia meat compliance laws).
• Dairy products (Governed by Georgia dairy law)
• Low Acid/Acidified foods (Canned Vegetables, Pickles, Salsa etc.) unless the producer is licensed (meets all requirements) and has completed The Better Process Control School.
• Organic Products from growers without an organic certification cannot be sold as Organic. (Organic produce must be certified)
Setup Time
Setup time at the City of Morrow Farmers Market is between 9am-10am on Saturdays. If you show up after 10am you forfeit your spot for the week. Once the site is open to the public at 10am, we cannot have vehicles driving where patrons are, it's a public safety issue.
Breakdown time is from 2pm to 3pm. We must have all vendors cleared of the area by 3pm with all their trash removed. If any trash is left behind, we will have to start collecting a security deposit that won't be returned to messy vendors, so let's all respect the space please!
