Description
What are Class Dues? Class Dues are collected to help cover the costs of events and activities done during Senior Year. The total Class Dues are $150 and it is split up into 3 payments over Freshman ($25), Sophomore($50), and Junior ($75) Years. Each Class Dues goes into their own Class account to be saved to be used during their Senior Year.
Who has to pay Class Dues? All LOA High School students are asked to pay Class Dues. If a student is new to LOA during high school, we still ask that you pay the full amount. This is because the money will not be used until Senior year. So, you are not paying for anything that they will not receive.
What do Class Dues pay for? These dues have paid for the following in Senior Years past:
At least 4 Senior Lunches from various local restaurants
Senior Breakfasts
Monthly Treats
Senior Week Activities
Fun Events
Snacks and Drinks during Senior Week
Graduation Sign
and more!
In addition to the above, when a Senior has paid all their dues, the Senior Prom Ticket is Free! We use these Dues to enhance the Senior Experience! So, if everyone pays and in advance, the more we are able to plan for you!!!
How do you pay for Class Dues? Class Dues should be paid for at loastore.org. You will click on Class Dues at the top of the page OR scroll down the page. Select the year(s) you would like to pay for and add them to your cart. Select the correct dues based on the description (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior) for THIS YEAR. If you would like to pay the total amount, you can select the $150 amount.
What happens if I don't pay my dues?
If Class Dues are not paid, students may not get to fully participate in all activities their Senior Year. However, if there are circumstances that make it difficult for you to pay, please reach out and let us know. We will work with you!
EVERYONE - You will have to be current on all dues in order to purchase your parking pass, prom ticket, Seniors Painting Parking Spots, and other Dance Tickets.
Why do we split up the payments?
In year's past, most students would wait until Senior year to pay the full amount. We are trying to help spread out the payments. Senior (and Junior) Year can be very expensive with Senior Pictures, Graduation Gown/Cap, Invitations, school sponsored Senior Celebration Trip on top of all those college application fees!
Why can't we just wait to pay our dues Senior Year? Technically, you could, but you wouldn't be able to buy a parking permit and park on campus, buy a dance ticket, paint your parking spot Senior Year, or participate in Senior Activities. It doesn't give us as much time to plan for the year's activities. In years past, we have spent most of the year chasing down people to pay dues and that takes away from things that get planned for you! We can't plan for things without a budget and we are trying to make the most out of everyone's Senior Year!
What are my next steps?
If you do not receive an email, you will be responsible for the amount for your grade and any others that you may not have paid yet. Freshmen - $25, Sophomore - $50, Junior - $75
