Hello St. Pius Family and Friends, 

In 2020 we hired a ticketing company called Brown Paper Tickets to manage the distribution, management, and payments of our tickets for Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Brown Paper Tickets charged our community a small fee, which was payment for their services. That fee was added when you bought your ticket(s) for the musical.  We were supposed to receive our ticket revenue two weeks after our event in March of 2020, but we have yet to see a dime--Brown Paper Tickets owes St. Pius $12,000!!  Brown Paper Tickets was recommended by multiple national and local theater groups and has been around for many years. The idea that we might not receive our funds from Brown Paper Tickets never crossed our minds. Brown Paper Tickets has stollen millions of dollars from event and theater groups throughout the world which started in February of 2020. We are working closely with the Indiana and Washington state Attorney Generals, who are working diligently to help us get our $12,000. It must be said, that recently groups have been paid by Brown Paper Tickets and they do have legal deadlines hanging over their heads, but we are still waiting for that $12,000 check and their deadline with us has come and gone!  

Our St. Pius theater program is sustained primarily by the funds we make from our ticket sales, without ticket sales we can't afford the program. Fortunately, our St. Pius PTO has helped us this season by fronting us the money we need to pay vendors before we receive our ticket sale revenue.  But with that being said, there is no guarantee that we will make our money back in full. 

We understand that you are asked often to make donations to our school and church, but if you are feeling generous and have the ability, we would so graciously accept a donation.
