Hahom. Gratitude! After 20 years of much labor, love, mothering, organizing, collective care and community healing. I am in need of major, radical, restorative rest. Not easy to say or do as I am deeply committed to our collective liberatory work. In order to continue to do this work, I need a break. I am trusting and leaning into my community for support during this time.
There are many ways to support me through my GoFundMe, T-shirts and this fundraiser! Also, inviting your family or friends to the fundraiser would be greatly appreciated to share my work.
The funds I am raising will cover my rent, utilities, travel expenses, food, much needed new laptop and personal bills. The goal is $15,630!
My Sabbatical will be from Nov 2024 - March 2025 and I will also be caring for my Akutu/ grandmother during this time. Still not 100% resting, but resting from the collective work. I will share more details at the event!
