DIMENSIONS OF NEURODIVERSITY ( Saturday, September 27, 2025  1-4pm):

Join facilitator Kim Van Ryn for a journey through the language, legacy and layers of what "Neurodiversity" is, who it affects and how we can work together as a community to ensure that everybody is included and belongs.

You will leave this interactive 3-hour workshop with deepened knowledge and emotional intelligence about different neurologies, disabilities and diversity. You will gain skills in current language to talk about this topic at work, at home and in the community. You will also gain practical skills you can use for connecting with neurodiverse people and advocating for their rights.

Each person will also receive resources and a digital toolkit with foundational ideas and more to explore!

COMMUNICATION FOR ALL NEUROTYPES (Saturday October 25, 2025   1-4pm)

Join facilitator Kim Van Ryn for a 3 hour educational experience in styles, strategies and barriers for people in our community who communicate differently. Differing communication styles could be speaking or non-speaking, using technology to communicate or using sign or other visual language, just to name a few. We will educate and discuss different communication styles, adaptations and technologies through an interactive and engaging session.

Our family members, neighbours and community members might not "talk" the same way as others and in this workshop we will discover the foundations of differing communication and develop strategies that will be effective in a multitude of environments. You will walk away with many new ideas and concrete ways to connect with people who communicate differently and empower them to be members of our community that are HEARD, regardless of how they express themselves.

If you are parenting or working with differently communicating people this workshop will support ideas, strategies and advocacy efforts alike.

REGULATION IN RELATIONSHIPS (Saturday November 22, 2025    1-4pm)

Join facilitator Kim Van Ryn to explore and deepen your emotional intelligence through the trauma informed lens about emotional "regulation" both for yourself and the people you are currently or potentially in relationship with. This workshop explores what regulation and dysregulation are through the biology and physiology of the nervous system, and what we can do when we, or the people around us are in states of dysregulation.

Using concrete models, mindset shifts, science and psychology we look at the emotional human in a fulsome picture that understands all components impact the whole. When parents, caregivers, educators, support people and community members have a deeper knowledge of how to look with fresh eyes at relationships that CAN function in health and wellness it truly benefits our entire community. When we embrace self awareness and how it impacts the people we care for we become more calm and functional in our relationships - doesn't that sound amazing?!

Come join our workshop to gain emotional education and intelligence when it comes to regulation in relationships - you will gain new insights into your own responses and reactions and start to master the skills of regulation in this interactive and impactful session!

- pre-payment is necessary to secure your spot

- Spaces ARE limited (we won't say how many, but Sarah, through simpletix can we set the registration #'s to 40 maybe 45 as the MAX we would take? Any more than that and groups become unruly lol lol)

- There are NO REFUNDS (although you can give your ticket to someone else and let us know) available unless there is a natural disaster and we cancel the event (probably worded better than that lol)

- If there are under 10 registrants we will cancel the event and refund everyone
