Description
Coming together around a sacred fire is a way to honour our hearts and souls. When we gather together we honour our teachings in the Huichol and Cree traditions with songs and stories to gently nudge us to be open to ourselves and others in a good way. Gathering with Grandfather Fire creates a sacred space that feels honouring and allows us to be vulnerable in a way that is not often appropriate in other parts of our lives. When we allow for the truly authentic to shine through, we open ourselves and others to our true nature and gifts. We learn to live in relationship with people and the earth in a different way.
Ceremony begins at 7:00 pm (please arrive a few minutes early). In the Cree tradition, there are no fees to attend a ceremony but a donation (approx. $5 - $10) to cover the cost of wood is gratefully received.
Women, please bring a skirt to wear.
Please bring a folding chair, a blanket, a thermos of tea if you would like, and clothing appropriate to the weather. If you are familiar with the traditions you are also encouraged to bring loose tobacco.
Yours in service,
