Help Us Shape Our New 'Get Smart Food and Money' Pilot Session
The Community Kitchen is preparing to launch a new series of workshops designed to use food as a means through which to engage people in learning about financial capability and financial resilience.
Before we roll these out to the wider community, we are inviting colleagues and volunteers in the community voluntary sector to join us for a pilot session to get some feedback on the content.
What to expect:
Smart Cooking: Learn meal planning and budget-savvy recipes that maximize nutrition while minimizing costs.
Financial Resilience: We’ll be joined by a caseworker from Money Advice Plus to discuss tracking spend, cutting costs, and building confidence with money management.
We will also share tips on cooking skills and how to waste less food.
Cost: £5 (to cover ingredients and packaging).
Enjoy a relaxed session, share a meal, and provide us with vital feedback to improve the program. At the end of the session we will enjoy a shared lunch and then spend the last half an hour obtaining feedback.
This class is run on behalf of the Community Kitchen charity – thanks to our funders The MSE Charity. and is part of our ‘Get Smart Food and Money’ programme.
