In this special community class, join us to learn about the incredible world of Syrian cuisine with a traditional lamb and okra stew, perfect for batch cooking. Manal Gharez Eddin is excited to teach you some of her favourite traditional Syrian recipes and share stories about Syrian culture as you cook, learn, and enjoy a meal together.
You will work in pairs to create a menu that balances richness and freshness:
Bamia with Lamb

A common side dish in Syria, perfect for stews and family meals.Baklava - Warbat Bil Ashta - a traditional Syrian Dessert
Manal's passion began at a young age, spending hours in the kitchen with her mother learning how to prepare traditional Syrian family meals. After moving to the UK and completing the Migrateful Chef Training Programme, Manal created her own Syrian cookbook to raise funds for refugees. She combines her love of cooking, photography, and sharing her culture.
