If the number of participants exceeds the capacity of the DPAC, activities will be relocated to a local church.
Invited participants: Dadeville Community Chorus (host choral group), plus groups and individuals from schools, churches, and choruses in Tallapoosa and Lee counties.
Proposed program: meet on a Saturday, 12:30 – 4:30 pm with snack-provided break(s). Learn 3-4 new pieces to be presented in a short concert at 5:00 pm. Attending groups may perform a piece of their own. If there is interest, a morning session for directors will be added.
Presenter: Dr. John Flanery, former Director of Choral Activities, New Mexico State University, and previously Assistant Director of Choral Activities, University of Southern Mississippi, and
Director, USM Gulf Coast Civic Chorale. Currently, President, Bishop Heelan Schools in Sioux City, Iowa, and director of church and local groups in Sioux City and in Sioux Falls, North Dakota.
Cost to participants: None, except for transportation to the event.
