Community Woodland Planting

Come and plant a tree at Ushaw in our woodlands!

Last year, you helped us to plant around 24,500 trees across Ushaw estate. As anticipated, some of the trees have not survived the year, so we would love to invite you to return to help us replant the trees that have died.

There are two ways that we would love for you to get involved.

Come along to one of our public sessions which take place on

• Saturday 8 March @ 9:30am, 11am, 1pm & 2.30pm
• Saturday 15 March @ 9:30am, 11am, 1pm & 2.30pm

Or we are looking for local businesses who could get involved by offering their staff for a half or full-day of volunteering. Please get in touch with us at meet@ushaw.org if you are interested in finding out more about our corporate volunteering opportunities

Additional information:

• Please be aware, there are only 30 places per session.
• Sessions may be cancelled in the event of very poor weather.
• All tree planting volunteers will be entitled to free access to our House, Chapels and Gardens after the session.
• Please dress appropriately for the outdoors, wear suitable footwear and bring a pair of gloves.
• Children will need to be supervised by a responsible adult
