Dog Training and Education Resources
Description
2 Day Training Workshop — All Disciplines
Dates: March 28, 29
Location: West Des Moines, Iowa. Walnut Woods State Park
Join us for a weekend hands-on dog training workshop. Open to all dog training disciplines, the workshop is centered on the practical application of core concepts. 3 days of pushing through the individual training needs of the working participants.
With 10 working spots designed to allow for deep, individualized work. Each team will be assessed where they currently are in their training, helped to identify what’s missing or unclear, and guided toward building a functional framework that supports their specific goals. From there, we’ll help establish a clear road map forward, so participants leave with direction, structure, and purpose in their training.
Auditors are very much part of the experience. We encourage an interactive environment and like best when there are dynamic conversations around or thought process, decision-making, and problem-solving in real time as we work with a wide range of dogs and handlers.
*Working spots are limited and go fast. We recommend signing up asap if you'd like one. The working spots will spend time with both Forrest & Josh allowing for more practical sessions and a lot of perspective.
This workshop is open to anyone who has a dog and wants to go deeper—whether you train for sport, pet manners, working applications, or simply want to sharpen your understanding and execution of training.
Josh and Forrest both focus on making strides towards each team's goals without forgetting that dog training should be fun and accessible to everyone involved.

What to Expect
Because this workshop welcomes handlers and dogs from all backgrounds, disciplines, and experience levels, the diversity of teams creates a rich learning environment. The breadth of dogs and goals allows us to cover a lot of training. Josh and Forrest bring a wide range of skills and experiences when working dogs. They love sharing it with others.
We'll mainly be working in an indoor facility but have access to outside training if the weather allows. Bring a chair, snacks for yourself, a notebook. We'll have a food truck each day for lunch. More details to come for those with a working spot.
Join us for a fun, straight-forward, training rich weekend. Meet new people, network, dig in. It's the participants who really make these training weekends special. So come, make it great.
