Description
UW-Whitewater faculty members, Diana Shapiro- piano, Benjamin Whitcomb - cello, and Leanne Kelso - violin, will present romantic, late romantic, and 20-century music. The trio will perform Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel’s powerful piano trio in D minor. Other works will include Dmitri Shostakovich’s first piano trio and two works—“Soir” and “Matin”—by Mel Bonis. All three works show off the versatility, range, and interplay of which piano trios are capable.
